Reports that 1.3 tons of pure cocaine
was found on an Air France flight on September 11 stuffed inside anonymous
bags. What was odd is that 30 colourful suitcases showed up on a
flight from Venezuela and they were not registered to anyone on the flight.
The cocaine has a street value of
200 million Euros or $270 million.
On Sunday, Venezuela's Public
Ministry said that authorities had detained three members of the National Guard
in connection with the incident but it wasn't immediately clear exactly what
they are accused of doing.
French Interior Minister Manuel
Valls told reporters Saturday that several people have been taken into custody.
The investigation is ongoing.
