Spirit and Life Devotional: Speak to It

Words are not effective only when they are heard with the ears, or when they are understood with the mind; when we speak with faith in our hearts, whatever is spoken to, living or non-living, alive or dead, is bound to respond; especially when we speak the word of God.

Jesus wanted fruit from a fig tree when He was hungry, and when He found none, He said to the tree, "Let no one eat fruit from you ever again." Mark 11:14. And by morning of the next day the fig tree had dried up from the roots. Wow! Hallelujah!

Just as Jesus spoke to the tree, we can speak to anything at all - you can speak to your body, your job, your business, your future, your money, your car, etc, and they are bound to obey you. If you use your mouth effectively, you'll cease being a victim but a victor; and you'll be in charge and walk in dominion.

Jesus said, “Have faith in God. For assuredly, I say to you, whoever says to this mountain, ‘Be removed and be cast into the sea,’ and does not doubt in his heart, but believes that those things he says will be done, he will have whatever he says." Mark 11:22-23. You see, you can have whatever you say if you'll dare to open your mouth with faith and speak the word in the name of Jesus.
