Joseph Prince’s Daily Grace Inspirations: God Can Qualify The Disqualified

Psalm 103:4
who [the Lord] redeems your life from destruction, who crowns you with lovingkindness and tender mercies,

Four women are mentioned in the genealogy of Jesus. (Matthew 1:1–16) Interestingly, they are not Sarah, Rebekah, Leah or Rachel, wives of the patriarchs of the Old Testament. Instead, they are Tamar, Rahab, Ruth and Bathsheba, women who had morally questionable backgrounds.

Tamar resorted to deception and prostitution to produce children through her father-in-law. Yet, it was from her line, the tribe of Judah, that the Messiah came. (Genesis 38) Rahab was a Gentile and a prostitute in Jericho, who became a believer in the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob. (Joshua 2:1–21) She also became the mother of Boaz, who married Ruth. (Ruth 4:13)

The Gospel Of Grace Series: Understanding The Foundation Of Grace

by Bright Benson

Whenever I think about the grace of God, I am simply overwhelmed by God’s amazing love for mankind. That’s what grace is all about. The goodness of God that cannot be earned is now freely extended to man by faith.

You see, in order to understand the foundation of God’s grace, you must understand the state of separation and hopelessness mankind was thrown into after the fall of Adam.
Man was created in the image and likeness of God (Genesis 126), and there is a reason for that. First of all it was to create an equality of fellowship between God and man. God is a Spirit (John 424), and He created Adam essentially a spirit being.

It is impossible for a man to have fellowship with a cow, regardless of any emotional attachment there might be between the man and his cow. Equality of life is required if there must be any level of understandable communication and functional relationship between two living beings.

Spirit And Life Devotional: Victory Over The Flesh

Romans 8:8 NKJV “So then, those who are in the flesh cannot please God.”
The Bible talks about two categories of that cannot please God: those without faith (Hebrews 11:6), and those who are in the flesh (Romans 8:8). Notice the words used in both verses; “impossible” and “cannot”. If you are going to church every day, reading the Bible, reading devotionals like this, and living in the flesh, you may feel good, but don’t be deceived, God is not pleased.
How to know if you are living in the flesh: check your mind; your thoughts and your desires. What are the things you are always thinking about; what are the things you love to do; what places do you go to often? Romans 8:5 says, “For those who live according to the flesh set their minds on the things of the flesh, but those who live according to the Spirit, the things of the Spirit.”

Joseph Prince’s Daily Grace Inspirations: God Is Your Stregnth

Ephesians 6:10
Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord and in the power of His might.

When you say, “I can manage this problem by myself, Lord,” God says, “Okay, you do it then.” But when you say, “Help me, Lord! I need You. I cannot do this on my own,” God says, “Good, I have been waiting for you to say that. You cannot, but I can. Now, watch Me!” That is how God is—He loves it when you depend on Him.

You see, when you think that you are strong and don’t need God, He cannot help you. But when you need Him and look to Him, He will not leave you weak and helpless. He comes and becomes the strength of your life. He becomes the breakthrough that you need.

Joseph Prince’s Daily Grace Inspirations: Jesus Delight In You Drawing From Him

John 4:32
But He said to them, “I have food to eat of which you do not know.”
When people make demands on you or keep depending on you, you may end up stressed, tired and irritable. But this is not the case with Jesus. When people draw from Him, He is strengthened and refreshed!
Jesus is, after all, God. And you honor God when you take your place as man and let God be God by drawing from Him. The One who said, “I did not come to be served, but to serve,” (Matthew 20:28) loves it when you allow Him to minister to you.

Spirit And Life Devotional: A Choice To Rejoice Or Mourn

Proverbs 29:2 NKJV "When the righteous are in authority, the people rejoice; but when a wicked man rules, the people groan."
In the past, Nigerians were deprived of their rights to elect leaders of their choice due to rigging and imposition of candidates by the ruling political class. The so-called godfathers personally appointed whomsoever they willed; our votes never counted. But thank God that our votes now count. Power has shifted over the years from the so-called powerful men to the people; today, we are empowered to determine who we want to lead us. It is a very big deal and we are grateful to God for what He has done.

Spirit and Life Devotional: Leadership And Direction

Numbers 14:4 NKJV "So they said to one another, 'Let us select a leader and return to Egypt.'"

Leadership determines the direction that we go as a people. Whether we are going to go upward and forward as a people, or backward, will be determined by the kind of leadership we have. That's what leadership is really about: leading us to somewhere! It is therefore very important for leaders to have a clear vision of where they want to take the people that they are leading to.

In the case of the Israelites, they wanted to go backward! God had delivered them from Egypt, and was leading them to the Promised Land, but the journey wasn't as pleasant as they had expected, and it seemed longer than they had thought it would be. They became dissatisfied with the current leadership that God had given them and wanted to choose one that would lead them back to Egypt. We will never go backward in Jesus name!

Proverbs 29:18 says that where there is no vision, the people perish. What we need are visionary leaders at all levels of government in our country. We also need men who understand God's purpose for us as a people, and will accept divine guidance on how to get there. My prayer is that we will not misuse this opportunity that we have to choose the right leaders for our country and our respective states. The plans of the enemy and the wicked ones will never succeed in Jesus name! May God give us leaders after His heart,
Godfearing leaders that will be focused and determined to do only what is right and pleasing in His sight. Amen.

Spirit And Life Devotional: From Being The Rejected One To Being The Celebrated One

Psalms 118:22-23, "The stone which the builders refused is become the head stone of the corner. This is the Lord's doing; it is marvellous in our eyes."

Joseph was rejected by his brothers, and sold into slavery because of his dreams of greatness; they said, "We will see what will become of his dreams." But many years later, Joseph became the Prime Minister in Egypt and they all bowed before him!

Jephthah the Gileadite was a mighty man of valour, but he was the son of a harlot, because of which his step brothers drove him out, saying, “You shall have no inheritance in our father’s house, for you are the son of another woman.” But the Scripture says that "it came to pass after a time that the people of Ammon made war against Israel. And so it was, when the people of Ammon made war against Israel, that the elders of Gilead went to get Jephthah from the land of Tob. Then they said to Jephthah, 'Come and be our commander, that we may fight against the people of Ammon.'” Wow!

The Gospel Of Grace Series: You Should Know What The Bible Really Teaches

by Bright Benson,

So much has been said about the gospel of grace, its revolutionary teachings have flooded the Church lately. So much also has been said about the danger of such teachings in the wake of an unprecedented rise in unholy living, even in the body of Christ. One school of thought believes in the totality of liberty by God’s grace, while others, though acknowledging the liberty this grace brings, believe that the preaching and teaching of “extreme grace” will lead to living in sin.

I believe the Bible is the final authority on any subject in God’s kingdom, and as Christians (especially preachers and teachers of the Bible) we must give ourselves to all it has to say, not appropriating certain portions to fit into our denominational doctrines and simply disregarding the rest.

Religion Fades Where Truth Shines!

The greatest need of the Church today is not miracles, it is the revelation of Jesus Christ, the Son of God; it is the full understanding of Who He is, what He has done for us, what and who we are in Him, by virtue of what He has done for us. The greatest tragedy of today’s Church is not Satan, it is ignorance. Satan’s edge over Christians and the Church is founded on the element of ignorance.

We have been very vehement in putting forward our sinfulness and inability to please God, yet we are in serious poverty of the truth of what Jesus has done for us—all that is available to us by faith.

Spirit And Life Devotional: Deliverance From Every Pit

Luke 14:5 NKJV “Then He answered them, saying, “Which of you, having a donkey or an ox that has fallen into a pit, will not immediately pull him out on the Sabbath day?”
Jesus healed a man with dropsy on a Sabbath day. Dropsy is an old term for the swelling of soft tissues due to the accumulation of excess water. Now, Jesus compared that man to someone or something that fell into a pit. And you know what a pit is: a hole in the ground. So a man in a pit didn’t just fall on the ground, he’s actually beneath the ground.

Meet The World’s Youngest Mother: 5-Year-Old Lina Gave Birth To Baby Weighing 2.7kg (PICTURED)

Lina Medina’s parents were worried. Lina, one of nine children in this poor family of the Peruvian Andes, had a seemingly inexplicable abdominal growth — which was growing larger by the week.

Fearing she had cancer, Lina’s parents brought her to the doctor. The Peruvian girl was cancer-free; she was, however, seven months pregnant.

Six weeks later, on May 14, 1939, Lina gave birth via Cesarean section to baby Gerardo, who weighed six pounds at birth.

Dear Hotel Lovers, Here Is What Cleaners REALLY Do When You’re Out [WATCH]

We all like to believe that when we’re away from home and staying at a hotel, our luggage and personal possessions are safe from prying hands when cleaners enter the room.

However, a new video has tested this theory by placing a covert camera in a hotel room to see what really happens when cleaners go about sprucing up our temporary abodes.

The resulting footage, shot at an unnamed US hotel, shows curiosity getting the better of one cleaner as she examines the belongings of the video’s creator.

Joseph Prince’s Daily Grace Inspirations: You Have The Victory

Romans 8:37
Yet in all these things we are more than conquerors through Him who loved us.
If God’s Word says that we are more than conquerors through Christ, then we are. We are not going to become, we already are. We may be experiencing some failures or setbacks in life right now, but only good will come out of our situations because God says that “in all these things we are more than conquerors”. We have the victory!

Spirit And Life Devotional: Maintaining Good Works

Titus 3:8 NKJV "This is a faithful saying, and these things I want you to affirm constantly, that those who have believed in God should be careful to maintain good works. These things are good and profitable to men."

We are saved by faith alone, but after we have been saved, God expects us to do good works. The works we do, are proof of the genuineness of our salvation; because after we believe, we take on the nature of God, and it's the nature of God to do good. Doing good is just being like God.

Spirit And Life Devotional: A Stronghold In The Day Of Trouble

Nahum 1:7 NKJV "The Lord is good, a stronghold in the day of trouble; and He knows those who trust in Him.

Have you noticed that trouble, or challenges, if you like, seems to never end? It's like there's always going to be an issue, at home, at work, in school, in your children's school, and even in church. You solve one, and you are happy, and then there's another, and another; challenges, manifesting in different forms! Job 14:1 says, “Man who is born of woman is of few days and full of trouble." The ERV says, “We are all human beings. Our life is short and full of trouble."

Something old, something new, something borrowed, something…nude?

Nude rights activist Gypsy Taub, 44, was arrested on Thursday after her wedding to Jaymz Smith, 20, on the steps of City Hall in San Francisco, according to the Associated Press.

The bride — a mother of three from Berkeley, Calif. — arrived in a dress, but eventually stripped down to nothing but a veilto say her vows.

Officiant and former San Francisco nudist mayoral candidate presided over the ceremony and finished with the words, “Kiss and conjugate.”

#HealthAlert: What You Should Know About The Ebola Virus [MUST READ]

Ebola is a rare but deadly infection that causes bleeding inside and outside the body. Although popular movies and books describe major outbreaks of ebola-like disease in the U.S., they’re just works of fiction.

Ebola strikes mainly in remote villages of Central and West Africa, but it has spread to some African cities, too.

The disease, also known as Ebola hemorrhagic fever or Ebola virus disease, kills up to 90% of people who are infected.

How Do You Get Ebola?

You can get Ebola by coming into contact with the blood or body fluids of an animal or person who is infected.
People often get sick with Ebola when they care for or bury a person who has the disease. Someone also can catch the virus by touching contaminated needles or surfaces.

Spirit And Life Devotional: Accepting Criticism Gracefully

Micah 3:8 ERV “But the Lord’s Spirit has filled me with power, goodness, and strength. So I can tell Jacob about his crimes, and so I can tell Israel about his sins!”
There have been times in my life when I was scared to go to church because of something wrong I did; I was afraid that some prophet would see a vision of what I had done and rebuke me publicly. But God is merciful. His aim is not to embarrass us, but to restore us back to fellowship with Himself. Hallelujah!

Spirit And Life Devotional: Divine Tests And Rewards

John 6:5-6 ERV "Jesus looked up and saw a crowd of people coming toward him. He said to Philip, “Where can we buy enough bread for all these people to eat?” He asked Philip this question to test him. Jesus already knew what he planned to do."
There's a difference between temptations and tests. God tests and Satan tempts. The purpose of temptations is to make you sin but tests are to test your faith in God and to know what you'd do in a particular situation.

5 Things You Need To Stop Doing To Prolong Your Life

There are certain actions you do on a daily basis that are helping to prolong your life. At the same time, there are some that are causing you to cut the years off your life. It’s time to stop doing them, and focus on the good things. Here are five of the actions that you really need to bring a stop to now!

1. Sitting Throughout the Day

You may not have a choice with your job, but it’s really important to sit for as little as possible. Studies have shown that those who sit for more than three hours a day do more damage to their health, and damage that regular exercise cannot help combat against.

Those who sit for 11 hours or more a day for three years increase their chances of dying sooner by 40%.

How Sugar In Processed Foods Affects Your Health Negatively

Too much of a good thing can be harmful. Too much of a bad thing can be even worse. In the case of high fructose corn syrup, too much of a bad thing can be toxic. This is one ingredient that you should leave out of your diet completely.
Many processed foods and sodas have high fructose corn syrup. It is everywhere. It is also one of the reasons that we have gone from eating and average of 20 teaspoons of sugar per person per year to 150 pounds per year. That is a lot of sugar. Where is it all going? Right to your liver. When they process high fructose corn syrup they take the sugar and separate the fructose and the glucose that are normally bound together. This sends the fructose right to you liver when you eat it. Then you develop a condition called fatty liver. Eventually if you eat enough of the syrup, you could get diabetes. Diabetes leads to heart attacks, strokes, and death from diabetes-related complications.

10 Essentials Of Twitter Etiquette

Whether tweeting as yourself or from a brand account, there are certain guidelines—let’s call them rules of the road—by which we all must abide. When people don’t follow proper Twitter etiquette, we all cringe, it’s awkward, everyone feels deflated, and you just look unenlightened.
So here are 10 Twitter etiquette rules:
1. Always add value. This can’t be stressed enough. Everything you tweet should add value to your followers’ day. This rule applies especially to brands, but you should follow it in your personal tweets as well. We’ve come so far from the days when everyone made the joke that Twitter was just a collection of what people ate for breakfast. Don’t drag the platform back to those days—unless what you had for breakfast was truly remarkable, in which case there had better be a pic!
2. #Dont #Overuse #Hashtags #In #Your #Tweets #It #Looks #Ridiculous #Stick #To #Three #Or #Fewer #TwitterEtiquette Need we say more? No? Good, ‘cuz we’re out of space.
3. A follow-back is nice, but it’s not required. It’s not a bad idea to follow influential users and people who frequently retweet or comment on your post, but don’t feel that you have to follow everyone who follows you.

See What Happened When This Woman Told The Man She Loves That She Has HIV

Being born with HIV is a very hard situation to deal with. When it comes to your love life, it may scare people away (mostly because they aren’t as informed as they could be about HIV). One woman tells her story of how when she was 19 years old she had to tell the person that she was dating that she was born with the virus.
Christina Rodriguez was about to go on a date and reconnect with someone she had a crush on all through high school. They had just started talking again after two years. She was nervous and excited at the same time. She had gone through, in her head, just how she was going to tell him that she had HIV but wasn’t sure how to get the words out. They had a great date, and then went back to his home to hang out for a while. While they were sitting in his room she decided that it was time to tell him. She brought out the note cards that she had thoughtfully written out so that she wouldn’t miss anything.

Spirit And Life Devotional: The University Of Life: Wisdom 101

It's called life; yes, and we are meant to live! Jesus came, not to take us out of the world but to enable us live a wonderful life here, first, until we can no longer be here. We are citizens of heaven; not of the world; but living here in the world now!
We have acquired degrees, we have learnt a lot in schools and in seminars, but what a lot of us haven't done is learn how to succeed at living here in the world. So we keep making mistakes, we keep making losses, we keep getting hurt, we don't respond appropriately to the challenges that confront us, we don't know how to make use of the wonderful heavenly graces that were freely given to us by God!

UPDATE: US Military Believe Missing Malaysian Jet Crashed In The INDIAN Ocean, Send Navy Vessel To The Area

U.S destroyer USS Kidd is now reportedly being moved to the Indian Ocean in order to search the area (file picture)

The mystery surrounding the fate of the Malaysia Airlines plane which went missing almost six days ago has deepened amid claims that satellites were still receiving data from the aircraft after it went missing.

A source close to the investigation has said the flight MH370, which was travelling from Kuala Lumpur to Beijing with 239 on board, sent a brief signal, or 'ping', to satellites in space after it had lost contact with ground control.

The development comes as Malaysian authorities attempted to downplay the theories springing up around the fate of the aircraft, and as the U.S. confirms it could start searching the Indian Ocean for debris - rather than the South China Sea.

Spirit And Life Devotional: Love Does No Harm

Romans 13:10 NKJV "Love does no harm to a neighbor; therefore love is the fulfillment of the law."
Jesus often taught about love in relation to other people; for instance, love your neighbour as yourself. In my opinion, love is doing something that's in the best interest of another person.
It becomes easy to harm others when we are more in love with ourselves (self), than with other people. Lying, cheating, backbiting, gossip, malice, fighting, and many other negative things happen because we do not have sufficient love for fellow men.
