iPhone poker downloads skyrocket after US Senator John McCain scandal

There was an 'Oops' moment during the Syria hearing on Tuesday; US Senator John McCain was caught playing poker on his iPhone. OOPSY!!!
He played a few hands under the table during Tuesday's Senate Foreign Relations Committee meeting, which was hearing from the likes of Secretary of State John Kerry and Defence Secretary Chuck Hagel.
Despite being snapped by an eagle-eyed Washington Post photographer, the influential senator - who ran for President in 2008 - laughed off the matter.
He tweeted: "Scandal! Caught playing iPhone game at 3+ hour Senate hearing - worst of all I lost!"

The image of Senator McCain's phone has been shared dozens of times by users on Twitter.
Senator McCain is a strong supporter of taking military action against Syria. He has given President Barack Obama his conditional support ahead of the upcoming vote in Congress, so I guess what was being said didnt make a difference, hence, poker...to while away time.
On the bright side, the Senators poker fiasco had a MASSIVE ripple effect on the mobile card shark community -- a rep for John's poker game of choice tells TMZ, the company saw a huge increase in downloads after the Senator's mishap. And it apparently got people in the poker playing mood -- because a rep for TinyCo (the company behind VIP Poker) said that daily installations of the app increased by 30% since the incident.

Hehehe! Anyone can be a brand Ambassador for anything...at anytime.
