Spirit and Life Devotional: FOR SUCH A TIME AS THIS

"And Mordecai told them to answer Esther: 'Do not think in your heart that you will escape in the king's palace any more than all the other Jews. For if you remain completely silent at this time, relief and deliverance will arise for the Jews from another place, but you and your father's house will perish. Yet who knows whether you have come to the kingdom for such a time as this?'" Esther 4:13-14

Who knows why you were given that political appointment now? Who knows why you were offered that lucrative job now? Who knows why the contract was awarded to you? Who knows why you are close to those in authority? Who knows why God allowed you to marry that rich and powerful man? Who knows why you are so highly connected and influential? Who knows why you are so talented? Who knows why God has brought you to that place and kept you there?

Have you ever stopped to think about why you are where you are now? Do you know that for every thing God does or permits there's at least a reason for it? Hey! Don't get carried away by the luxuries and comforts and forget that you being there at such a time as this is a divine strategy of Jehovah to actualize an important assignment.

I say to myself that 'nothing happens for nothing'. Esther wasn't beautiful for nothing; she didn't win the beauty pageant for nothing; she wasn't made a queen for nothing; God made it possible so she could preserve lives! Find out why you are right here and right there NOW!
