According to ex-gay Joseph Sciambra, genuine happiness cannot be found if you continue in the homosεxual lifestyle and the only chance of happiness for gays is if they repent of their sinful ways and find Christ.
Sciambra, 44, recounts his experiences as a former gay pοrn actor in his book entitled “Swallowed by Satan,” in which he vividly describes his own journey into hell in the gay underworld Castro District of San Francisco during the early 90s.
Sciambra said that his quest for love and acceptance began with pornographic sεx but in 1990 he found the love he longed for in Christ through the Catholic faith.
According to Sciambra, when he was eight years old, he came across a porn magazine that had been left by an older brother. He adds that looking through the pages of the magazine led him to masturbation and the desire to experiment further with sεx as he saw in the pictures.
Because he was searching for that “happy-place,” Sciambra then found himself going to brothels and prostitutes to look for happiness because new sεxual experiences seemed to be the only thing that gave him excitement.
After having become bored with females, Sciambra then moved on to having sεx with men after looking at gay pοrn. He adds that his first sεxual experience with a man was when he was 19 years old and older gay men introduced him to the Castro gay scene.
Scaimbra then visited bathhouses and adult video arcades in his search for more partners in his desire for gay sεx and although he had many partners, he never found the love he was looking for, he admits.
During one of his experiments in sεx at a place for anonymous oral sεx, Scaimbra found himself at a “glory-hole booth,” where he says that he gave himself to Satan sεxually. He adds that Satan appeared to him in the form of a gaping mouth, including a foot long forked tongue and that was when he began to hear voices in his head.
Bored again with what he was doing, Scaimbra entered the world of amateur pοrn actors and escorts. This is where he entered into the sadomasochistic realm of the gay community and he indulged in sεxual pain and torture, both as a victim and inflictor.
Scaimbra continued in this torture of himself and others for the pleasure of others watching in the gay pοrn industry. He adds that he had reached the point where the only way for him to be sεxually gratified was with violence, subjugation and aggression.
During one sεxual encounter, that was so violent that he ended up in hospital, Scaimbra says that he had his own experience of dεath. He continues that his soul was falling down into an open mouth which was salivating and he knew this was hell.
However, Scaimbra’s mother, who is a Catholic, was at his side in the hospital and she prayed for him fervently and because he was afraid of what was to come, he begged God to deliver him from hell.
As soon as he asked God for help, he felt his soul returning to his body, according to Scaimbra. He adds that from that point forward he returned to the Catholic faith he had left as a child.
A Catholic priest cast out demons from him, said Scaimbra and he continued in his faith in the Eucharist during Mass and mother Mary.
Although Scaimbra admits that he sometimes struggles with attraction to other men and other sεxual temptations, he has now come to know the peace, love and acceptance that can be found through leading a spiritual life.
Scaimbra now runs a Catholic religious shop inNapa,Californiawhere he helps other gay men to come to Christ and leave their homosεxual lifestyle.
