Party Etiquette: 10 Essential Rules to Follow
When at a party, remember to stay with your set of friends.
1. Don’t mix your drinks. If you want to stay free from a hangover the next day, then stick to the same drink all through the night.
2. Eat regularly. Finger food, fries and some meat as all of these can ensure that you feel just right all through the night.
3. Don’t drink and drive. After all, multitasking isn’t an easy job. Ensure you have a designated driver for the night, who doesn’t drink and can organize for a cab if you feel you’ve had that little too much alcohol.
4. When at a party, remember to stay with your set of friends. Never accept a drink from a stranger, no matter how good looking he or she is.
5. While dancing is a good way of having fun, ensure that you don’t end up embarrassing yourself too much, that you wouldn’t be able to face your friends the next morning.
6. Don’t venture into the dance floor alone. With the high excitement level, you never know when one may misbehave that night.
7. Do not leave your drink alone. Your drinks could be spiked with drugs.
8. Never answer a call inside the party. It is rude to talk with the loud music in the background.
9. In case someone does smile at you, be polite, a smile doesn’t cost too much.
10. If you leave the party on a ‘high note’ try not to get excited and incite anyone on the road. Road rage can be at the highest. Plus, you never know how drunk the other people can be?
