Spirit and Life Devotional: Performance Enhancing Grace

Performance-enhancing drugs (also known as PED) are substances used by athletes to improve their performance." Use of PED's is not allowed, using them is cheating, and athletes caught using them are punished or banned entirely.

As believers, we have an advantage over the rest of the world! We have grace, and grace is a performance enhancer! Hallelujah! You see, grace is not just "unmerited favour", grace is the strength of God; the power of God made available for us. Christ said to Paul, "My grace is sufficient for you, for my strength is made perfect in weakness." 2 Corinthians 12:9.

As a believer, just like Paul you have access to divine grace. There's an invitation for us to ascend unto the throne of grace to obtain grace whenever we need it! (Hebrews 4:16) Stop complaining about how hard or difficult your work is; stop saying you can't do it; just receive grace, and enhance your performance!

You can do all things through the grace of God which strengthens you! In need of grace? Heavenly Father, I ask that Your grace be released to as many that are in need of it; may Your strength be made perfect in our weakness; help us to do that which we cannot ordinarily do. Thank You, in Jesus' name. Amen.
