Goodbye Brazil: Pastor says "No hair weaves in my church"

This pastor got fed up with seeing ladies cat-walking round the church in weaves, LOL. He just couldn't take it no more, he had to scream out.

Pastor A.J. Aamir of Resurrection Faith church told his parishioners that weaves are simply unacceptable in the eyes of the Lord. He says that it reflects low self-esteem on the part of the women, who try to present a false image of themselves. He insists that women should focus more on developing their minds than just their appearance. The pastor’s church is located in Waco, Texas.

“Our black women are getting weaves trying to be something and someone they are not. Be real with yourself is all I’m saying.", said Pastor Aamir.

He went on to say, “Long hair don’t care. What kind of mess is that? I don’t want my members so focused on what’s on their heads and not IN their heads. I lead a church where our members are struggling financially. I mean really struggling. “Yet, a 26 year old mother in my church has a $300 weave on her head. NO. I will not be quiet about this.”, he told AmericaPreachers.com.
The pastor grew up in a STRICT Islamic household, one that didn't mess around. Could this affect his position? What do you think about this?

    1. Am I missing something, how is banning hair weaves moving the Gospel of Jesus Christ forward?

    2. Edikan, yea the Pastor's theories are eccentric but his statement on lavishing money on hair(appearance) while members of same congregation are living in poverty seems cool. Maybe he didn't send his message properly, he mixed it up with irrelevant speech.

  2. Don't you just love it when men sit as judge, jury, and focus group, and make decisions about WOMEN that they have no experience with or know nothing about? Fantastic stuff.

    1. LOL. All over the world you'll meet such men. But hey, who died and made them God. They don't set the standard. They can only oppress those that give them such power.

If the Pastor has banned weaves in 'his'church and a lady doesn't agree with his postulations she can find another church. She can't be blessed by a Prophet she doesn't believe in anyway.

  3. I agree with the pastor! From what he said, he made it clear the congregation are strugling financially buy still some are carrying $300 on their head where is the wisdom. There should be rules in church.
