As Jesus prepared to physically leave the world, He said to the disciples, "And I will pray the Father, and He will give you another Helper, that He may abide with you forever - the Spirit of truth, whom the world cannot receive, because it neither sees Him nor knows Him; but you know Him, for He dwells with you and will be in you." John 14:16-17
Just as Jesus prayed, the Spirit of God dwells in us now. Hallelujah! 1 Corinthians 6:19&20 says, "Or do you not know that your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you, whom you have from God, and you are not your own? For you were bought at a price; therefore glorify God in your body and in your spirit, which are God's."
Just as you prepare and decorate your new house or apartment when you move into it, God purchased our bodies, washed, sanctified and justified us so that it would be beautiful and conducive for His Spirit to dwell in. Now, His Spirit is called "Holy", and we must always be conscious of it.
Please, we've got to stop polluting ourselves! We've got to stop making the Lord uncomfortable in His own house! As 1 John 5:18 says, we are to keep ourselves.
