Spirit & Life Devotional: Dominion over all

Some people are afraid of rats and cockroaches; may God deliver them! When God created man, He gave him dominion over every other creature, including the fish of the sea, the birds of the air, the cattle, and every other creeping thing (Genesis 1:26). Glory to God.

Man became subject to Satan when he sinned in the garden of Eden. But Jesus restored us! He said, "Behold, I give unto you the authority to trample on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy, and nothing shall by any means hurt you." Luke 10:19. Hallelujah!

Hebrews 2:7-8 reveals that God crowned us with glory and honour, and set us over the works of His hands, and has put all things in subjection under our feet! Wow! From Jesus we can learn how to exercise dominion: He calmed storms, cast out devils, and stopped a tree from producing! That's what's expected of us; to walk in authority - not to be fearful!

We should all grow up; because as long as we are children, we are no different from slaves; as long as we are children, we are in bondage under the elements of the world, even though we are masters of all (Galatians 3:1-3). Satan and his boys shouldn't be in control anywhere around you, and if he has done anything wrong you are to undo them! You've been waiting for God to intervene; He's waiting for you to grow up and take charge!
