Two years After Being Convicted of Killing Michael Jackson, Dr Murray Walks Free From Jail

Dr. Murray who was sentenced to four years in prison for involuntary manslaughter in October 2011, is being released early as part of a programme designed to alleviate chronic overcrowding in California's prison system. He will be released on Monday.
It is alleged that Michael Jackson’s family and fans are unhappy about this.
The 60-year old physician already has offers to make serious money by granting TV interviews. He is seeking to hire a publicist and also regain a medical licence to practice in his home state of Texas. A number of his patients still believe in him and even testified on his behalf during his trial.
Dr. Murray signed a contract for $150,000  a month to work for the pop star but it all ended tragically when Michael Jackson died from surgical anaesthetic, Propofol administered by the doctor to help Jackson sleep.

While in jail through telephone interviews, Dr. Murray has repeatedly denied that he was responsible for Jackson's death. Rather he claimed that he was trying to wean the pop star off the drug.
