Footballer Christian Benítez dies suddenly of suspected heart attack

Former Premier League striker, Christian Benitez also known as Chucho passed away suddenly of a suspected heart failure, he was aged 27. 

The Ecuador born footballer a few weeks ago signed a £10million contract with  El Jaish, a club in Qatar.

Christian is survived by his wife, children and his father, former Ecuador international footballer Ermen Benítez.

Footballers from around the world took to twitter to pour out their hearts on the loss of their colleague and friend. 

It's so sad. May his soul rest in peace.
