Spirit and Life Devotional: A Field That The LORD Has Blessed

A FIELD THAT THE LORD HAS BLESSED

Fields in the Bible served several purposes; but they were mainly places of work. For instance, we read in Ruth 2 that Ruth worked in the field of Boaz. A field refers to the works of your hands, your business, your job, your ministry, etc. It also refers to you and also that concerns you.

When Isaac was to bless Jacob, thinking it was Esau, he started by saying, "Ah, the smell of my son is like the smell of a field that the LORD has blessed." (Genesis 27:27). You see, the blessing of God upon a man or a thing is always evident. When God blesses your field, there will be progress, increase, amazing results, and fulfillment.

God wants to bless your field; Deuteronomy 28:8 talks about God sending His blessing on everything you put your hand to. Even when you're involved with so many things - a jack of all trades - they can all be blessed. Glory to God!

May God bless you today! "May God give you heaven's dew and earth's richness—an abundance of grain and new wine. May nations serve you and peoples bow down to you. May those who curse you be cursed and those who bless you be blessed."
