Every time God asks for something, be wise enough to realise that His intention is to give you something better. Understand that God can get things done without your assistance; that's the truth! He created the world, remember, and the cattle on a thousand hills are His; so if He comes to you for something, it's definitely because He wants to give you something much better. Make the most of that opportunity!
When Jesus asked the Samaritan woman for water to drink, He was merely presenting her an opportunity to have the living water that He had to offer her. While she went on about the differences between them, He said to her, "If you knew the gift of God, and who it is who says to you, 'Give me a drink,' you would have asked Him, and He would have given you living water." John 4:10. I pray you're able to recognise God when He comes to you looking like someone else.
When God asked Abraham for his son, Isaac, He didn't want Isaac, rather He wanted to make Abraham father of nations! And because Abraham was WILLING, God said to him, "By Myself I have sworn, says the LORD, because you have done this thing, and have not withheld your son, your only son - blessing I will bless you, and multiplying I will multiply your descendants as the stars of heaven and as the sand which is on the seashore; and your descendants shall possess the gates of their enemies. In your seed all the nations of the earth shall be blessed, because you have obeyed my voice." Genesis 22:16-18.
Today, I pray you pass your tests. Someone said, "God will never take away something without giving something better in its place."
