The last issue of the Rolling Stone magazine had a picture
of the Boston bomber on the cover. Some people felt that it glamorized the
bomber while some felt it was insensitive to the victims.
Some major retailers refused to stock the issue because of the controversy.
It turns out that the issue sold more than double the
magazine’s usual sales for the past few years. Adweek reported that people
bought more than 13,000 copies of the mag from 1,400 retailers from July 19 –
29.
I guess they won with the controversial cover, eh?
