Spirit and Life Devotional: Stewards Of Grace

There's no useless person or member of the Body of Christ, not because we are all talented, but because God gave everyone of us grace to do something. Adult, children, men, women, able and disabled - everyone is useful and relevant in the church. Romans 12:6 says that God in His kindness gave each of us different gifts.

Now, 1 Peter 4:10 says, "As each one has received a gift, minister it to one another, as good stewards of the manifold grace of God." Therefore, being a good steward entails ministering to others with the gift that God has blessed you with. Refusing to use your own gift makes you a bad steward. I pray you're not one. Don't bury your gift!

Discover what grace(s) God has given to you and then diligently employ it. Rivers always have fresh water because they are "givers"; rivers don't retain water, rather they are always flowing, that's why it's called a watercourse. The more you release of your grace, the more grace you receive from the Lord.

Let's conclude with Proverbs 11:25. The English Standard Version says, "Whoever brings blessing will be enriched, and one who waters will himself be watered."
