Atiku & 7 governors walk out on PDP convention to form new faction

Nigeria's former Vice President Atiku Abubakar and five other governors walked out of the Peoples Democratic Party’s Convention that held in Abuja today and went to form a faction of the party.

The governors who left the convention with Atiku are: Governor Mu'azu Babangida Aliyu of Niger state, governor Sule Lamido of Jigawa State, governor Aliyu Wamakko of Sokoto state, governor Musa Kwankwaso of Kano state, and governor Abdulfatah Ahmed of Kwara state.

Governor Murtala Nyako of Adamawa and Rotimi Amaechi of Rivers state, who were barred from attending the convention, joined the other governors, Atiku, and Bukola Saraki in the new factional PDP.

Atiku Abubakar has given the rationale behind the forming of a new Peoples Democratic Party National Working Committee.

Nigerians wrote off Beverly Osu on BBA for being the first Nigerian housemate to have sex in the Big Brother house. Till today I've still not watched that video so I dunno, but I do know Angelo made us understand (while still in the house) thatthey didn't have sex. I reported it HERE. Bridge collapses in Bayelsa, rescue efforts underway

Federal Road Safety Corps has confirmed that a bridge has collapsed in Bayelse state. The bridge linking Igbogene and Okoloibiri communities in Yenagoa, the Bayelsa State capital, collapsed today 31st August. Vincent Jack, state Commander of Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC), who confirmed the development to the News Agency of Nigeria, said the agency had commenced rescue efforts. He urged motorists and other road users to use alternative routes.

Mr. Jack said the FRSC had dispatched its personnel to divert traffic from the affected area to ensure smooth flow of traffic.

Consider this: God said to the Israelites, "You shall dispossess the inhabitants of the land and dwell in it, for I have given you the land to possess." Numbers 33:53. Hold on, something seems to be wrong: dear God, You said You've given me the land, but there are people in it! Yes, God says, dispossess them, it's yours! They are there on borrowed time, go take it!

The promises of God are yea and amen; but that don't mean no effort is required on your part to inherit them. Whatever you need is yours already, but you might have to make a move in order to begin to enjoy it. When Jesus healed someone, He said to him, Take up your bed and walk. What if the man remained in the bed? He wouldn't have walked: he had to make a move!

Femi Fani-Kayode responds to Bianca Ojukwu's threats to sue him

Bianca Ojukwu threatened to sue Femi Fani-Kayode for claiming he had an 'intimate' relationship with her when she was single. In a letter written by Bianca's lawyers, Fani-Kayode was given 7 days to "submit to her a clear and unqualified apology and retraction published in The Sun and Thisday newspapers in addition to having the retraction published online" or face a lawsuit. 
Femi Fani-Kayode has sent out a press statement in response to that. Read it below...

 This morning Cheif Femi Fani-Kayode woke up to find a letter that was published as an advertorial in Thisday Newspaper purportedly by Ambassador Bianca Ojukwu's lawyer threatening to sue him for mentioning her in his article and claiming that she has never met him before. She also said that he was being malicious. The matter has of course been reffered to Chief Fani-Kayode's lawyers who will now take it up.

Dim Chukwuemeka Odumegwu-Ojukwu’s widow and Nigeria’s ambassador to Spain, Mrs. Bianca Ojukwu, has described as false the claim by former Aviation Minister, Chief Femi Fani-Kayode, that she was his girlfriend when she was a spinster.

Fani-Kayode had in his article, entitled: “Neither a tribalist nor a hater,” published in the social media and some segments of the national dailies (not The Sun), claimed to have met with Bianca when she was Miss Bianca Onoh at the Cambridge College and had “intimate” relationship with her together with two other Igbo ladies.

American singer, Sean Kingston sued for alleged gang rape

Sean Kingston and his bodyguard gang raped a drunk teenager in the singer's hotel room back in 2010, according to a new lawsuit,but Sean says it's all fabrications.

Carissa Capeloto, who is now 22, claims she was forced to have sex with Sean, his bodyguard and a member of Sean's band at a Seattle hotel in July, 2010, after she had smoked pot and downed 7-10 shots of vodka. She has sued all 3 of the men.

Carissa alleges she'd been invited to Kingston's hotel room for a meet-and-greet following a Bieber concert where Kingston had also performed, but when she showed up Kingston was waiting naked on his bed.

Ooooops! Lagos ranked 4th worst City in the world

Lagos is the fourth worst city in the world, Economist Intelligence Unit, EIU, an independent forecasting and advisory business within the Economist Group has said.

And its top worst cities, are scattered around Africa and Asia. Lagos, the fourth on the list, shares its 137 position with Port Moresby, in Papua New Guinea on 38.9 per cent.

The report made available yesterday described it as the second-fastest growing city in Africa and the fourth worst city on earth.

Hebrews 13:15 says, "Therefore by Him let us continually offer the sacrifice of praise to God, that is, the fruit of our lips, giving thanks to His name."

"Give thanks" is from the Greek verb homologeo, meaning to confess; declare; profess; speak out freely; to praise, celebrate. So when the scripture talks about giving thanks to His name, it means we are to praise God by declaring His name; to celebrate His name. Hallelujah! NET Bible says, "Through him then let us continually offer up a sacrifice of praise to God, that is, the fruit of our lips, acknowledging his name." Darby Bible Translation says, "confessing his name."

The Book of Ruth begins with the story of how Elimelech, his wife Naomi and their two sons, Mahlon and Chilion left Judah for Moab in the time of famine. In Moab, Naomi lost her husband and sons in about ten years. And then she returned to Judah when she heard that the Lord had visited them.

The question on my mind is if Elimelech and his wife heard from God before they left for Moab. They obviously didn't. They exemplify many people today. When things seem to be a little difficult, the first option is to quit and run away. We don't want to experience any challenges; of course, no one likes discomfort and pain, but it's a reality and we must learn to cope during such times.

The souce also said that the Duchess has also been spending a lot of time outside. “They’ve been in Anglesey for almost a couple of weeks and their lives are much more active there — lots of walking, lots of time in the outdoors,” said the insider. “And the weather has been great. I’m sure they have been making the most of it.”

Scott took to twitter earlier today to post a pic of Kourtney lifting her shirt up, with a message that’s making everyone think she could be pregnant with baby number 3!

Scott posted the photo(above left) with the caption: “Looks like an angel.”

Either he’s calling Kourtney beautiful or telling the world she’s pregnant! We’re not sure but we know Kourtney wants a big family, so it would make sense if she was pregnant again.

Kourtney and Scott are already parents to Mason and Penelope Disick.

I think I've lost my ability to fear; no matter how terrible situations are, or how threatened I am, I just trust God, and I'm very confident that He will always deliver me. After all, He is the Judge! Proverbs 29:26 reveals that judgment comes from Him. It says, "Many seek the ruler's favour; but every man's judgment cometh from the LORD."

In Daniel 7:21-22, we read of a certain horn which made war against the saints, and prevailed against them. But that's not where the story ends! The horn prevailed against the saints until the Ancient of Days came; and then a judgment was made in favour of the saints! Hallelujah!

Love triangle: Candice fighting to win back Angelo from Beverly

           

In my usual 'amebo' manner I looked around to see what's up with BBA - The Chase couples now they are back to real life and what did I find...a battle of the girlfriends...girlfriend actually, coz Bev isn't battling with anyone. Remember Candice Arends, Angelo's girlfriend before BBA, well, her committee of friends are fighting to get rid of Beverly. I guess they thought Angelo will be back to Candice after BBA but it appears he's still with Bev. 

They got furious when Angelo ran and grabbed Bev and swung her off her feet when she stepped out of the house. Candice and friends splashed pictures of the them together all over twitter, making it look like they were recent pictures. They even posted pictures to make it look like Angelo had proposed to Candice last night, meanwhile those pictures were before BBA and the ring is just a promise ring Angelo gave her when they were dating. See me gisting you guys like I was there, lolz.

Angelo and Bev were lounging at the after party last night while all the craziness was going on, according to reports.

Justin Timberlake won big at MTV's annual Video Music Awards, taking home the top prize for video of the year for "Mirrors" and a special achievement honor - Michael Jackson Video Vanguard Award, and also led a much-anticipated onstage reunion of the boy band 'N Sync, their first performance since 2002. There would have been a problem if my song 'Mirror's didn't win more than 1 award, what happened in 1973 would have repeated itself. lolz.

Miley Cyrus' obscene performance at the MTV VMA's [PHOTOS & VIDEO]

WIth Lady Gaga playing it relatively safe this year, it was Miley Cyrus who made everyone's jaws drop at the 2013 MTV Video Music Awards.

The 20-year-old performed a plushie-packed rendition of her hit "We Can't Stop" before launching into a duet of "Blurred Lines" with Robin Thicke -- one that saw her stripping down to nude-colored underwear and grinding all over the married man's crotch...and Robin Thicke's wife, Paula Patton was in the audience. Awkward!

I was taken aback by the performance, my jaws dropped (literally). It was very disappointing to see this image of the Disney star. I ended up going to bed sad.

A robot is a "mechanical or virtual agent, usually an electro-mechanical machine that is guided by a computer program or electronic circuitry" (Wikipedia). From my little understanding, before a robot is constructed, there's first a purpose, and a design, then you get the components, and devise "systems and applications", for lack knowledge of technical terms and more information.

God didn't just create us for no reasons. Please understand that. You are not here for the sake of being here or just to exist. You're not here merely as an addition to human beings or to prolong your family name. Of the many children your parents could have had, it was you who was born, and by God's grace you have survived till today. You'll agree with me that there's a definite reason why you're still here.
