What would you do if you buy tickets to see your R&B legend in concert only to be entertained by an impersonator? Well, this happened to R. Kelly's Louisiana fans and they are demanding a refund of their money.
Music promoter, Ced Johnson sold tickets to music lovers for an event which was billed as Ced’s All Black Affair Birthday Extravaganza featuring R. Kelly but instead an R. Kelly impersonator came on stage for a few minutes.
Johnson's side of the story is that he never said it was an R. Kelly concert that the tickets where for a birthday bash where R. Kelly would be in attendance. Johnson denied that he misled fans and has refused to refund tickets, saying an R&B singer did perform at the event.
"I never did anything to lead people on about the event,” Johnson said. “All of the fliers and promos said it was a birthday bash where he would appear. It was never billed as a concert".
A woman at the concert said she’d seen the fake R. Kelly performer at a restaurant earlier that morning and he was not R. Kelly. The woman, who did not want to be identified, said when the impersonator performed at a restaurant he refused to allow anyone to take his picture.
“We was scammed because 10 o’clock we was there, no R. Kelly. 11 o’clock no R. Kelly, 12 o’clock no R. Kelly, 12:45 no R. Kelly. 1 o’clock here comes an impersonator,” the concert goer says.
Ced though, I don't respect this brothers hustle at all.
Crazy ishhh
