Tragic: Riots Break Out in Ajah, Lagos As Tanker kills 5 School Children

What a sad story this Monday morning. A tanker hit and killed 5 school children on Ajah road this morning. The accident happened close to Ikota primary school. The pupils were on their way to school when they met their tragic end.
The tanker driver is said to have fled the scene, he is nowhere to be found. Angry residents of the Ajah/Ikota area have taken to the streets to protest, causing a scene that is leading to a riot as you read this. Police have arrived the scene to calm the situation but there is very little they can do at this point.

I hear Chevron toll gate has been shut down. But one thing i am sure of is that the traffic on that round is heavy. People that set out to work as early as 8 a.m. are still locked down in the area. You may want to rethink going out or coming in to Ajah right now.
It is so sad what happened to those kids. I can't imagine what's going on in their families right now. So so sad.
