II Samuel 18:3 NKJV "But the people answered, 'You shall
not go out! For if we flee away, they will not care about us; nor if
half of us die, will they care about us. But you are worth ten thousand
of us now. For you are now more help to us in the city.'"
In the passage above, David was said to be worth ten
thousand men! This worth I'm referring to isn't about how much you own,
but about how valuable you are as a person. I don't believe that anyone
is worthless, it's just that many of us are sleeping giants.
In 2004, at a convention, Pastor Chris said to us, "Work on
being and not on having, for with who you are you will have." I never
forgot those words. Are you aware that some people will never beg for
the rest of their lives? Because people always need them for something!
They have made themselves indispensable. Meanwhile, there are some who
can be dismissed without considerations.
What kind of a man do you want to be? In the next few
years, do you still want to be at the mercy of others? Invest in
yourself now, and let God bring out the best in you. Daniel was a part
of many governments, not because he was "kissing ass" as they say, but
because he was very valuable.
Happy New Month!
