I refer to the Old Testament as the "if and then" era. "If and then" because the blessings of God could only be obtained by meeting certain conditions. If you did this or that, then you were blessed, and if you didn't, then you were cursed. The curse was a result of disobedience to the Law.

Sadly many preachers are still preaching the message of the Old Testament. We must come to understand that today, we do not inherit God's blessings as a result of what we do; in fact, God already blessed us long before we contemplated giving Him our lives! He has already blessed us with all spiritual blessings and given us all that pertain to life and godliness; so which other one are you working for? Do God's word because you love Him and because it is true, not because you want something in return!

I’ve noticed a startling trend in the dating world: Something I’ll call the “faux-girlfriend” phenomenon. That’s when a guy treats you like a girlfriend in a lot of ways — you spend holidays together, you’ve met his parents, you have your own clothes drawer at his place. In fact, things are so girlfriend-y that it seems the next logical step would be fiancee-y and then wife-y. But something insidious and underhanded is going on. There are men out there (and women too, I imagine) who treat you like a girlfriend — but not really. That’s usually because while he wants the regularity and companionship of a real girlfriend, he doesn’t want the responsibility, the downsides, or the idea of cutting off his options.

How do you know if you might be the faux-girlfriend? Here’s 6 bigtime clues.

1. Facebook status. Yes, no matter that you spend six nights out of seven together, and he calls you crying whenever he needs a pep talk, he still has not changed his status from “single” to “In a relationship.” I know this sounds cliche, but it’s a big one — if you ask him to do it and he comes up with reasons why he can’t. He might say he’s a “private” person and doesn’t want anyone knowing his personal life. What he really means is that he doesn’t want the various cute women he’s friended knowing his personal life.

Forgiveness gives us a clean slate, a fresh start; through forgiveness, we are justified and made to be as though we never sinned at all. Wow!

God is so perfect and holy that He cannot behold iniquity; and one would expect that it will be difficult for such a holy Person to accommodate sinners. But we see God in the Scriptures, since man first sinned, always offering forgiveness to man. God is love! As He is perfect in holiness, so is He in love. Hallelujah!

It doesn't come as a shock to me. The first time I watched the video I was like "BRILLIANT!!!!"
P-square did a very good job with the Michael Jackson theme. I am a huge MJ fan so it'll take a lot to impress me..and they did.

Actress, singer, controversy magnet, and alleged NDLEA fugitive, Tonto Dikeh was the cause of much chatter right from the minute her name was announced as one of the nominees in the Actor Of The Year category of the 2012 edition of The Future Awards. It shouldn’t have come as a surprise, though, given her legion of adoring fans (one only has to take a peek at her Twitter to get a sense of just how adoring they are) who no doubt spent hours on end voting to ensure her nomination and eventual win.

Nollywood actress, Funke Akindele has shared HAPPY pictures of her on set in Enugu. She seems to be moving on from the demise of her one year marriage.

That awkward moment when you buy a fish and get a half human instead.

Real life proved to be stranger than fiction in Ibadan where a lady, Mrs Ramota Salawu, witnessed the miracle of turning fish into a human.

Her residence at Akindele Compound, Gege , Ibadan turned into a tourist center as hundreds trooped in to see the human-fish. The human-fish is said to have long white hair, the face was like that of a baby, while the trunk was still a fish.

Every time God asks for something, be wise enough to realise that His intention is to give you something better. Understand that God can get things done without your assistance; that's the truth! He created the world, remember, and the cattle on a thousand hills are His; so if He comes to you for something, it's definitely because He wants to give you something much better. Make the most of that opportunity!

When Jesus asked the Samaritan woman for water to drink, He was merely presenting her an opportunity to have the living water that He had to offer her. Prince William and Kate have debuted the royal baby. Recall that he was born yesterday at 4.24pm to cheers and celebrations. The baby was born in the same hospital wing as his father, Prince William.

Lady Gaga made bank in the last one year. She has been listed as the richest celeb under the age of 30 in the US.

Forbes calculated their earnings between June 2012 and June 2013.

Justin Bieber also made the list at number 2.

Bieber now has the highest followers on twitter with 42 million followers, and Gaga at number 2 with 39 million followers.

A reader sent me these photos and info on a petrol tanker that exploded at Ajah roundabout.

The tanker was leaking and later burst into flames.

This has caused mad traffic and I hear another car has burst into flames as well, I am yet to confirm.

If you are leaving for work, I suggest you sit back and have breakfast first o~~r you can call in sick~~, cos those that left at 6am are still stuck in the traffic.

The member representing Ondo Central Senatorial District at the National Assembly, Senator Ayo Akinyelure, wept before members of his constituency in Akure on Monday as he apologised to them that he voted in error to support the senate resolution backing marriage of underage girls.

Akinyelure was summoned by his constituents to explain his role in the controversial passage of a resolution to retain the provision of Section 29 (4) (b) of the 1999 Constitution, which states that a married underage girl is deemed to be an adult.

Politicians, women groups and students had besieged the Adegbemile Hall, venue of the meeting, with placards to protest against what they described as the legalisation of sexual abuse of young girls, which their representative had supported.

We didn't all start life at the same time; neither did we commence our walk with Christ at the same time. Some began before us, and some through diligence have moved ahead of their contemporaries, and it is expected that they have more knowledge and experience than we do. They are seniors, and there's so much we can learn from them.
