Lupita Nyong’o Wins Screen Actors Guild Awards 2014 [SEE Full List Of Winners]

The Hollywood Award season that kick-started with the Golden Globes, continues with the Screen and Actors Guild Awards (SAG Awards) that recognises outstanding performances in film and primetime television. Old and new names have have been able to grab the statuette this year, most significant newbie is Lupita Nyong’o who won in the category of best supporting female actor for her role in  12 Years a Slave.

Lupita Nyong’o is a Kenyan actress and film director. She made her Hollywood film debut in Steve McQueen’s 12 Years a Slave, as Patsey for which she’s been nominated for several awards. She won Critics’ Choice Movie Awards for Best Supporting Actress and New Hollywood Award in the 17th Hollywood Film Awards.
