A 22-year-old Nigerian named Babafemi Junaid was found with stab wounds in a car which had collided with a bus in London during rush hour on Friday February 7th 2014.
Junaid, who is from Peckham in South London, died in the hospital last night following the crash near Stockwell underground station shortly before 5.45pm.
The police believe he had been stabbed in Clapham Road before he got into his car which then collided with the bus as he tried to drive away.
Mirror UK reports:
Detectives found Mr Junaid inside his car suffering from stab wounds.
The Met’s homicide and major crime command is investigating and says Mr Junaid’s death could be linked to an earlier report of disorder on a bus nearby.
A Met spokesman said: “Detectives believe Femi was stabbed in Clapham Road, some 50 yards from the scene of the collision, before getting into his car and colliding with the bus.
“We are not aware of any other people injured and we do not believe anyone else was in the car with Femi at the time of the collision.”
A post-mortem examination has yet to be held and no arrests have been made.
