New PDP Merges With APC

The All Progressives Congress, APC, has announced a merger with the Abubakar Baraje-led faction of the Peoples Democratic Party, tagged ‘New PDP’

The merger was announced at the end of a meeting at the Kano Governors Lodge in Abuja on Tuesday.

Mr. Baraje read the terse communique to journalists at about 11.46 a.m.

The merger means the APC now has its 11 governors and the seven governors who are members of the New PDP; making a total of 18 state governors.

Kanye West Orders Fans to Stop Buying Louis Vuitton Cos The Company's Vice President Snubbed HIm

"Everybody in New York City right now, don't buy any Louis Vuitton until after January.", Kanye West ordered on 92.3 NOW radio station this morning. This out cry is birthed out of a feud he has with Louis Vuitton vice president Yves Carcelle (above right).

It all began on the rappers last visit to Paris when he requested to meet with Yves but the LV VP bounced him. Oops!!

Speaking on 92.3 NOW radio, he said:

 'I was made for this moment. What happened was while I was out in Paris I wanted to meet with the head of Louis Vuitton, he said I don't understand why we need to meet with you. I said, "let me explain to you why you need to meet with me." 

'Everybody in New York City right now don't buy any Louis Vuitton until after January. 

'Now do you want to meet with me? Now do you want to meet with me? Influence. They think that I don't realise my power.'

Kanye is trying to make a point. He believes he's got power and influence. Okay, lets watch Louis Vuitton decline in sales between now and January. *eyesrolling*

But Nicole Scherzinger has revealed in a new interview that despite having moved on from her girl group past, she will always have a pussycat inside of her. 

Nicole made the admission as she posed for a fierce new photoshoot in Wylde magazine.

She said: 'Instead of a feminist, I'm a 'feline-ist'. I'm always a Pussycat. Everyone always has a Pussycat Doll inside of them.

'When I think of that I think of a woman who is growing into herself, knowing who she is, owning who she is, loving and accepting who she is. Not only that but being fearless - that lioness part in her to go after what she wants. Even when she doesn't feel fearless, she keeps going.

'I guess that's what I mean by a 'feline-ist' - being someone who is loving and accepting of herself, who is getting to know why they are as a woman, as a girl.'

Nicole, who wears a sexy black outfit and hat with a net over the face in the arty pictures, also revealed that she is using her work on her upcoming new album to help her cope following her split from long-term boyfriend Lewis Hamilton. 

She said: 'Right now I'm just working in the studio on music for me personally, going through whatever I'm going through and it's really just very raw and stripped back and not what people would ever expect from me.

'I don't know what I'm making that for but I'm making it, I think for selfish reasons, for my therapy right now.

Spectacle!!! Family Claim Guinness World Record for Christmas Light Display with 502,165 Flickering Bulbs

An Australian family who put more than half a million Christmas lights on their house have claimed a world record - for the second time. Father-of-three David Richards from Canberra first won the title in 2011 with 331,038 lights, but was beaten by a family in New York who put up 346,283.

His family vowed to take regain the title this Christmas - so installed more than 31 miles of wire with 502,165 lights, glowing reindeer and loud music around their suburban home, to the irritation of some neighbours.

Guinness World Records today confirmed the family's charity feat has officially the most Christmas lights on a residential property.

The twinkling bulbs will cost about £1,400 to run for a month - but the sum has been donated by a local power company.

The stunt is open to the public, and hundreds of people have already visited and posted videos on Youtube. It will raise funds for children's charities including to fight Sudden Infant Death Syndrome. Up to 70,000 people visited the light show when he last put it on in 2011 and it raised £44,000 for charity. This year Mr Richards wants to raise £56,000.

The lights took a month to put up but Mr Richards did not have to count them all himself - instead delivery records and invoices were used to certify the total. See more pics after the cut...

House Of Reps Member Slumps And Dies, Female Banker Arrested Over His Death

A member of the House of Representatives died in the early hours of Saturday after what security sources said was a sexual affair with a female banker in his private residence located at Gwarinpa Estate in Abuja.

Rep. Raphael Oloye Nomiye, 50, was until his death representing Ondo, Ilaje, Ese Odo in Ondo State under the platform of the Labour Party.

The lawmaker was said to have died shortly after an affair with the banker (names withheld). The spokesperson of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) police command, Hyelhira Altine Daniel, confirmed the incident, saying the command was still investigating the cause of the legislator’s death.

When Sunday Trust visited the deceased’s residence at Second Avenue in Gwarinpa Estate, neighbours and witnesses said the banker, who managed his accounts, was said to have rushed down for the one-storey building to inform the policemen on guard at the house that “oga just fell down and is vomiting blood.”

Taylor Swift Picks Up Four Awards at the American Music Awards 2013, See Full List Of Winners

She was one of the big winners in the fashion stakes at the American Music Awards on Sunday and Taylor Swift also triumphed, picking up four awards for her music. 

The 23-year-old singer was named American Music Awards Artist of the Year, the night's top honour,  for the third time and also won  Country Album of the Year for Red and was named Favorite Female Country Artist and Pop/Rock Artist at the ceremony which was held at the Nokia Theatre in Los Angeles on Sunday.

'My lucky number is 13, and so far you guys have made 2013 the most magical year of my life so far,' she gushed as she accepted the Artist of the Year award. 'I cannot thank you enough.

The couple have now splashed out on a palatial £40million London mansion - an inner-city replacement for their sprawling Hertfordshire estate.

The 38-year-old former England football captain and his wife are now said to be spending an extra £5m renovating the four-storey detached period home in west London.

The house will include rooms for hairdressing, manicures and make-up, as well as separate rooms for 39-year-old Victoria’s shoe collection.

Staff and security will have access to a tunnel which will take them unseen to a second property.

History Is Made As Iran Agrees With World Powers to Freeze Nuclear Program For Six Months

An agreement on Iran's nuclear programme has been reached between Tehran and Western powers in Geneva today 24th November, according to French foreign minister Laurent Fabius and Michael Mann, spokesman for top European Union diplomat Baroness Ashton.

Foreign Secretary William Hague and US secretary of state John Kerry were among those in Geneva, Switzerland, working on a deal that was acceptable to Tehran.

Mr Mann said on Twitter: 'We have reached agreement between E3+3 and Iran.'

The presence of senior ministers including US Secretary of State John Kerry at the meeting had raised expectations that an agreement was close.

Lil' Kim Makes a BIG Fashion Faux Pas As She Performs Comeback Gig In London

After eight years away - doing plastic surgery, prison, and feuds - Lil Kim is back with a bang! 

The 39-year old was making what amounted to a comeback at London's The O2 on Friday 22nd November as she prepares to release a new mixtape entitled Hardcore 2K13, next week.

Given that it is a comeback of an artiste I expected to hear a lot about how awesome the singing or rapping was; how she put up a great performance; or at least something about the music. What rather made the news was her choice of outfit, which I must say was 50 shades of AWFUL!!!

The Brooklyn-born star - whose real name is Kimberley Denise Jones - sported a bizarre ensemble which looked far more Halloween than comeback queen as she took to the stage with her band and backing dancers. 

The top piece seemed to be a belted bodice with a visible bra top, complete with tied cuffs and a huge trail. She teamed this with huge, over-sized, red knickers which looked mightily uncomfortable for any woman to wear - not least because it revealed some unflattering, and seemingly painful, camel toe.

She capped the look with thigh-high boots and several pieces of 'bling' jewelery, plus Geisha-like make-up on her face. More pics after the cut...

Revealed: Kanye West & Lamar Odom Won't Appear in Kardashian Christmas Card...but Bruce Jenner Will

Christmas is around the corner. I woke up this morning feeling so Christmassy.:) 

The Kardashian's are preparing for Christmas too with their traditional Christmas card photo shoot. On Friday TooFab reported several of the clan's men - and one adorable baby - were not asked to pose for the holiday greeting.

On top of the list was Kanye West, who was once so obsessed with joining the family that he drew himself with a Sharpee pen into their 2011 card(see pic below). Baby North West, Rob Kardashian and Lamar Odom also won't be in the picture. 

According to TooFab, Kanye 'couldn't make it because he was on tour when they took the photo.' That doesn't sound right because he could always have been photo shopped in.

The card's photographer David LaChapelle is known for his photo shop expertise.

Kanye will pose for another card, however. The site claims he's set to appear on a separate send-out with fiancee Kim and baby North, aged five months.

Lamar Odom has been in the news on the regular, this time its about a viral video that made it's way to to internet yesterday. An intoxicated Lamar raps about taking drugs and cheating on his wife, reality star Khloe Kardashian.

A wasted Lamar, who is with a friend, is seen rapping incoherently about using drugs, cheating on his wife, making money without the NBA and how he smokes drugs to make "the pain go away."

Confirming his cheating, Lamar raps, "And when Khloe's out of town / I still be on the DL." TMZ says the video was shot sometime this month. Watch after the cut...
