American Idol Top 6 Performances

By now, we’ve all got our favorites on American Idol 2013, so this is where we start getting really invested in the futures of those we love the most. Would you defriend someone on Facebook if they insulted your one-and-only? We know we might, and we’ve certainly seen things get heated in the chat rooms these past few weeks. It’s down to the American Idol Season 12 Top 6 for Wednesday’s (or Saturday,depending on your location) two-hour performance show, and here are the singers you will see perform two songs: Lazaro Arbos Kree Harrison Angie Miller Amber Holcomb Janelle Arthur Candice Glover Only one theme was released in the official press release this week, and that’s “A Song I Wish I Had Written”. Now that’s pretty broad, so it will be interesting to see who sings a more contemporary number and who goes with one of the classics. We imagine someone like Angie will go the current route, whereas Amber might pick a Whitney Houston or Celine Dion song. The second theme disappeared mysteriously from the FOX press release, but when asked what it was via Twitter, Candice confirmed it the rumors it would be "Songs From the Burt Bacharach/Hal David Songbook". We initially cringed at this one, but a lot of these singers do their best with ballads, so we imagine some will have those moments Randy Jackson is always seeking.
