16 Signs Your Sexual Partner May Be HIV Positive

by Amanda Gardner
Within a month or two of HIV entering the body, 40% to 90% of people experience flulike symptoms known as acute retroviral syndrome (ARS).
But sometimes HIV symptoms don’t appear for years—sometimes even a decade—after infection.
“In the early stages of HIV infection, the most common symptoms are none,” says Michael Horberg, MD, director of HIV/AIDS for Kaiser Permanente, in Oakland, Calif. One in five people in the United States with HIV doesn’t know they have it, which is why it’s so important to get tested, especially if you have unprotected sex with more than one partner or use intravenous drugs.

My Story, By Sanusi Lamido Sanusi (Interview)

In the beginning

As at the time I came into office, several things had collapsed. From banks to stock exchange, they had crashed. Inflation was at 15.6percent three months before I became Central Bank Governor; there was already instability in every sector of the economy. When I look back, I thank God for the people who supported us and criticized us as well because criticism has made us stronger. Also, when I look back, I can point to several things that have changed after our arrival and till date.

Keeping inflation down

For the first time in a long while, we have been able to keep inflation at about 7percent since January 2013 and it is still like that up till this moment. As far as instability and exchange rate is concerned, we have worked tirelessly to ensure things work out well for the economy.

We also introduced cash reduction in the system. Although most people didn’t like it because they felt it will add more problem to the exchange rate because people want to buy dollars but against all odds, the cashless policy has worked and it’s still working today.

Sound Of Music: Maria Last Surviving Member Of Von Trapp Family Dies At 99

Maria Von Trapp, the last surviving member of the famous Trapp family, has died at the age of 99.

Von Trapp was the last surviving member of the Austrian family of seven brothers and sisters and died in her sleep at her Vermont home. "It was a surprise that she was the one in the family to live the longest because ever since she was a child she suffered from a weak heart," family friend Marianne Dorfer told the Austrian Times.

"It was the fact that she suffered from this that her father decided to hire Maria von Trapp to teach her and her brothers and sisters," she continued. "That of course then led to one of the most remarkable musical partnerships of the last century."

Spirit And Life Devotional: Clothed With Humility

I Peter 5:5 NKJV "Likewise you younger people, submit yourselves to your elders. Yes, all of you be submissive to one another, and be clothed with humility, for “God resists the proud, But gives grace to the humble.”
If God resists the proud and gives grace to the humble, then I want to be humble for the rest of my life!
In the church, and everywhere really, you've got to forget about how important or revered you are; forget about the number of high tables you've sat on, forget that you are a friend of Mr. President and CEOs of multinational organisations; forget about your qualifications, forget about the number of countries you've been to, or how many people report to you at work, forget about what you possess, and the family you come from. Forget about how expensive what you are putting on too. Never be too big to relate with other brethren, to work with them, or to do whatever you are asked to do, even if they smell, and even if they don't give you your due respect. See God and not them!

Spirit And Life Devotional: Passing The Baton

Titus 1:5 AMP "For this reason I left you [behind] in Crete, that you might set right what was defective and finish what was left undone, and that you might appoint elders and set them over the churches (assemblies) in every city as I directed you."
I used to think that it was my responsibility to finish whatever I start; you know, Jesus said that His meat was to do the will of God and to finish it. But finishing His work didn't mean He would stay on earth forever, overseeing the church He established; He finished His own part; His own work, and then passed the baton to someone else.

10 Essentials To Have Before Your Baby Arrives

You've read books on what to expect when you're pregnant from cover to cover, and have decorated the baby room with flourish. But have you made a list of the most essential items you'll need when the baby comes home? Read through this list of the absolute must-haves.

1. Crib
Find a crib with a mattress and crib sheets that are fitted. Look for one that is comfortable and secure enough to hold a bonny baby.

2. Bouncy seat
A bouncy seat is required since you won't be able to put your baby in her crib every time you go over to the kitchen to cook, or the bathroom to the do laundry. Find a simple and regular sized model for the newborn. Bouncy seats are mobile so you can even bring one into the bathroom while taking a shower.

3. Formula
Irrespective of whether you are breastfeeding or bottle-feeding your baby, keep a few cans of milk-based formula handy in the kitchen cabinet for emergencies - like delays getting home from an errand. Before you stock up, though, make sure the brand suits your newborn.

4. Feeding bottles
You don't need many if you are nursing the infant yourself. Otherwise, you will need about 10bottles a day. This number sounds bloated since you could consider washing and reusing the bottles. However, having a few extras will save you the time taken to wash them frequently. Pick full-size bottles since the baby will grow out of tiny ones pretty soon.

Spirit And Life Devotional: Our Sins Were Laid On Jesus

Ezekiel 4:4-6 NLT “Now lie on your left side and place the sins of Israel on yourself. You are to bear their sins for the number of days you lie there on your side. I am requiring you to bear Israel’s sins for 390 days—one day for each year of their sin. After that, turn over and lie on your right side for 40 days—one day for each year of Judah’s sin."
Following God, especially working for Him, is a life of sacrifice. But it is also rewarding. Some people want the rewards without the sacrifices; but it isn't so. In the Scripture above, we see Ezekiel being made to lie in a certain position for over a year! If you read subsequent verses, God restrained him from moving and made him eat rubbish. God laid the sins of Israel on Ezekiel and made him pass through all that as a sign of what the Israelites were to suffer as a result of their sins.

I’m Covered By Immunity To Run In 2015 - President Jonathan Tells Court

President Goodluck Jonathan has asked a Kaduna State High Court to dismiss the suit filed by one Alhaji Shuaibu Lilli and others, challenging his right to contest the 2015 presidential election.

The president said based on section 308 of the 1999 Constitution, no civil or criminal suit could be instituted against him in his personal capacity during his tenure as the president.

In the suit, which has Jonathan, the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) as defendants, the plaintiffs are asking the court to stop Jonathan from contesting the 2015 presidential election because doing so would mean that he is running for a third term in office.

But Jonathan, through his lawyer, Dr. Fabian Ajogwu (SAN), urged the court to dismiss the suit because it was incompetent and that the court lacks the jurisdiction   to entertain and grant the reliefs sought by the plaintiffs.

However, amid the legal battle over the eligibility or otherwise of the president for another term in office, the PDP yesterday said there were indications that Jonathan would seek the party's ticket again.
He also argued that by section 308 of the 1999 Constitution, he enjoys immunity from civil and criminal proceedings in suits brought against him in his personal capacity.

Jonathan further argued that since there was no law that bars him from running for president so as to give rise to any right which entitles them to institute the action against him, the plaintiffs have no cause of action against him as to entitle them to institute the suit against him.

He stated that the plaintiffs had no locus standi to institute or commence the suit against him before the court and that the suit amounted to an abuse of court process.

5 Ways To Be A Better Leader

Entrepreneurs aren’t average people. The average person doesn’t hedge their bets against the odds and zig while the rest of the flock chooses to zag. But having the courage and audacity to enter into an unknown market, create a brand new product or meet with new partners is exactly what leads to entrepreneurial success for the simple fact that an entrepreneur’s purpose defines them.
The desire to improve, learn and grow is intrinsic for the entrepreneur because they have found a purpose that suits their life’s mission. But remaining competitive is a daily sport, and if you fail to live up to your purpose as a leader then you run the risk of failing to lead.
After spending 13 years in the SEAL Teams, there are five lessons I want to share that can make you a better business leader (after all, sharing knowledge is power, right?).
1. Test yourself -- daily. Leaders need challenges. They need to defy the unknown and achieve the unexpected. If this means waking up an hour earlier to work out, read the paper or just have personal time, do it. The sense of accomplishment yielded from your efforts will have a snowball effect on your self-efficacy. And remember, every day counts.
The BUD/S (Basic Underwater Demolition/SEAL training) motto of “The only easy day was yesterday” always held true because every day became harder than the last. I remember thinking to myself after enduring a conditioning run, “That was the hardest run I ever did!“ That is, until the next conditioning run, and then that run became the hardest one I ever did. The point is that every day affords an opportunity to become better than what and who you were yesterday. If you don’t take advantage of the opportunity, your competitor will.
2. Workout (i.e. sweat!). Having the mental fortitude to push yourself does two things: it shapes your body and sharpens your mind. It’s easy to brush off the mental component of exercise if you’re not pushing yourself, especially if you just go to the gym to talk. But if you exert yourself, breathe heavily and sweat profusely (no grunts, please), then your mind feels the same effects and raises its pain threshold, which in turn allows the body to push itself further.

Spirit And Life Devotional: The Gospel Can Make You Rich

2 Corinthians 6:10 CEVDCUS06 "And we are always happy, even in times of suffering. Although we are poor, we have made many people rich. And though we own nothing, everything is ours."
Poor men don't make people rich. Right? Wrong! Poor men with grace and the gospel can make you rich! You see, many people have missed a lot by looking at the man instead of receiving the message coming from God to them. By the way, the apostle, Paul, was poor because he chose to.

OMG! Man's Girlfriend Rejects His Public Proposal Because His Penis Is Too Small (VIDEO)

OMG!!! Be sure before you pull such a stunt.

Patrick Moote faced public humiliation when his girlfriend rejected his proposal in front of a stadium full of UCLA basketball fans, and it got even worse when a video of the incident went viral on YouTube.

But even that wasn't even the worst part. When Moote asked her later why she didn't want to marry him, she said the thing no man ever wants to hear - his penis was too small.

"It's not like I didn't know that it was kind of a problem. I see my penis every day, so I was kind of aware of what was going on," he said.

"Most girls don't think I have a penis at all at this point, so if they find out that I do, it's kind of like, you know, 'Oh, well look at that! It's actually there,'" he said. "It's like a homeless guy bringing you home to his mansion, like, 'Whoa, where did this come from?'"

How sad.

Could Marrying For “Love” Be The Reason Behind So Many Failed Marriages?

by Krystle Crossman
Valentine’s Day is a holiday where loved ones spend the day telling each other how much they are in love and buy gifts and candy. It is a holiday where singles either sit at home, sad and alone, or they go out and celebrate their single life. All over the world couples will become engaged because they are so in love. There is a theory that takes observations from history and explains that marriage and love don’t always go together as we seem to think that we do.
Back in the days of Ancient Greece, if you were in love you were thought to have a sickness. Getting married was so that you could start a family, not so you could live happily ever after with the one that you love the most. Marriage was also a way to bring families together, such as two royal families. Arranged marriages were an everyday occurrence. Evergreen State College professor Stephanie Coontz wrote a book about the history of marriage and how love has taken over as the main focus in modern days.
Love used to be thought of as a threat to the true meaning of marriage which, back then, was families being brought together, financial arrangements, or workforce expansions. Coontz said that in the late 20th century people were as horrified over the thought of someone being in love with the person that they were married to as some people are over same-sex marriages today.
Physical attraction has always been a part of marriages but it is expressed in different ways. There are some cultures (in Tibet) where the women will get pregnant by other men and then have their families help raise the children. There are no active father figures in these cultures.

Angry Mob Attacks 14 Alleged Gay Men In Abuja, Police Assault Them Too

A mob armed with wooden clubs and iron bars, screaming that they were going to “cleanse” their neighborhood of gay people, dragged 14 young men from their beds and assaulted them, human rights activists said Saturday.

Four of the victims were marched to a police station, where they allegedly were kicked and punched by police officers who yelled pejoratives at them, said Ifeanyi Orazulike of the International Center on Advocacy for the Right to Health.

Police threatened that the men would be incarcerated for 14 years, he said, the maximum prison sentence under Nigeria’s new Same Sex Marriage (Prohibition) Act, dubbed the “Jail the Gays” law.

Activists have warned the law could trigger attacks such as the one perpetrated in the early hours of Thursday morning in Abuja, the capital of Africa’s most populous nation.

Mob justice is common in Nigeria and civil rights organizations have been warning for years of an increase in community violence and the government’s failure to curb acts in which people have been beaten to death for perceived crimes such as theft.

“Since the Same Sex Marriage (Prohibition) Act was signed, we have expressed concern as a friend of Nigeria that it might be used by some to justify violence against Nigerians based on their sexual orientation,” the U.S. Embassy said in a statement Friday. “Recent attacks in Abuja deepen our concern on this front.”

The police spokeswoman for the Federal Capital Territory, Deputy Superintendent Altine Daniel, said she was unaware of the attack but would try to get details for The Associated Press.

Spirit And Life Devotional: God's Faithful Love

Lamentations 3:22-23 NLT “The faithful love of the Lord never ends! His mercies never cease. Great is his faithfulness; his mercies begin afresh each morning.”
To be faithful is to be strict or thorough in the performance of a duty. Faithfulness is not as easy as we think, especially when you are being faithful to someone who doesn’t appreciate it or is unfaithful to you. To be faithful is to continue being you, to continue doing what you’ve always done no matter how difficult or inconvenient it is.

Anambra Assembly Split Over Oduah’s Sack

Lawmakers in Anambra State House of Assembly were, yesterday, divided over the sack of  Aviation Minister, Princess Stella Oduah.
Princess Oduah was one of the four ministers relieved of their duties, last Wednesday, by President Goodluck Jonathan among three other ministers.
While some members described it as a routine exercise and prerogative of the President to hire and fire based on reasons known to him, some members described Oduah’s sack as an unfortunate development for the people of Anambra State.
Chairman, House Committee on Information, Pauly Onyeka, while conceding that the President had a constitutional right to hire and fire any minister said, Oduah’s case was done in error, having served the aviation sector very well.
”It is unfortunate that such a minister that had excelled in her functions as a minister should be sacked from office when investigations into the allegations against her had not been made public,” he said.

Missing $20 Billion Oil Money: FG Set To Undertake Forensic Audit Of NNPC

To lay to rest the controversy over the exact amount the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC) is yet to remit into the Federation Account, the Coordinating Minister for the Economy and Minister of Finance, Dr. Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala, has recommended the setting up of a team of forensic auditors whose work will satisfy the yearnings of all Nigerians.
The minister, who disclosed this at a media briefing in Abuja yesterday, said this was her recommendation to the Senate Committee on Finance which is holding a public hearing with the aim of determining the exact amount that had not been remitted to the Federation Account by the state-run oil corporation.
Her recommendation notwithstanding, NNPC made a spirited defence during the senate hearing on what it insisted was the unremitted sum, maintaining that $10.8 billion was the sum in dispute, and not the $20 billion estimate presented to the committee by the Central Bank Governor, Mallam Sanusi Lamido Sanusi, last week.

Spirit And Life Devotional: Developing Capacity For Your Next Level

Genesis 2:4-5 NKJV “This is the history of the heavens and the earth when they were created, in the day that the Lord God made the earth and the heavens, before any plant of the field was in the earth and before any herb of the field had grown. For the Lord God had not caused it to rain on the earth, and there  was no man to till the ground;”
After God created the world, the earth must have looked like a barren land because there was no plant or herb on it according to the Scriptures. But the earth was blessed. God did not allow anything to grow on the earth neither did He cause it to rain because there was no man on earth as at then. Growth was delayed because of the absence of man on earth.

Moving: Man Writes Amazing Letter To His Daughter Every Woman Should READ

by Kelly Flanagan
Dear Little One,
As I write this, I’m sitting in the makeup aisle of our local Target store. A friend recently texted me from a different makeup aisle and told me it felt like one of the most oppressive places in the world. I wanted to find out what he meant. And now that I’m sitting here, I’m beginning to agree with him. Words have power, and the words on display in this aisle have a deep power. Words and phrases like:
Affordably gorgeous,
Infallible,
Flawless finish,
Brilliant strength,
Liquid power,
Go nude,
Age-defying,
Instant age rewind,
Choose your dream,
Nearly naked, and
Natural beauty.
When you have a daughter, you start to realize she’s just as strong as everyone else in the house — a force to be reckoned with, a soul on fire with the same life and gifts and passions as any man. But sitting in this store aisle, you also begin to realize most people won’t see her that way. They’ll see her as a pretty face and a body to enjoy. And they’ll tell her she has to look a certain way to have any worth or influence.

Is Masturbation Ruining Your Life? A Psychologist Talks About Masturbation Addiction (READ)

On February 6, Morningside Recovery Center, a rehab center in Newport Beach, California, released the results of a national survey on a taboo subject: masturbation. For the study, the addiction center surveyed over 1100 men and women ages 21-35 about their masturbation habits, discovering a few interesting facts about excessive masturbation habits and masturbation addiction. 63 percent of the participated in the survey were female, with 20.4 percent of all participants indicating they pleasure themselves at least three or more times per day. 79.6% of the respondents report masturbating up to two times per day. 48% believe that the frequency of their habit is below average. 45.4% agreed that masturbation can cause problems in their relationships. 57.8% of the survey respondents were not ashamed at all about choking the chicken, with 18.3% report being very ashamed and 23.8% report being somewhat ashamed.
The dirty culprit for a systematic increase in societal fapping? Increased access to internet porn. Duh.
Here at BroBible, we had some questions about the survey. In particular, how much is too much? Curious about how a trained, professional addiction specialist defines “compulsive masturbation,” we reached out to Robert Weiss, CSAT-S, Director of Intimacy and Sexual Disorders Programs for Promises Treatment Centers. Over e-mail, Weiss answered our questions about the signs of diagnosable masturbation addiction. She also explained the social and psychological dangers of masturbation addiction, including how it can lead to physical harm to genitalia, relationship stress, and erectile dysfunction. This is how masturbation can ruin your life.
BroBible: How much masturbation a day is considered clinically excessive?
Robert Weiss: There is not really a cut-off point for “excessive” from a clinical perspective. To say that X times per day/week/month is too much (or not enough, or just right, or whatever) is not something any decent therapist can or should even try to do. That said, if you’re damaging your penis it’s probably time to back off a bit. As a clinician, what I look for is how a client feels about what he is doing, how that meshes with his inherent sense of morality, and whether he is experiencing negative consequences as a result. Those negative consequences could be physical, emotional, financial, legal, relational, etc. The point I want to make is that every man is different in terms of how he feels about masturbation, what he gets out of it, why he does it, etc. So every man will have a different version of what is too much. What may feel excessive to one man could be perfectly healthy for another.
What are the signs a masturbation habit is a diagnosable addiction?
Compulsive masturbation is the most common form of sexual addiction. In today’s tech-driven world, compulsive masturbation is nearly always coupled with online pornography. Generally speaking, compulsive masturbators/porn addicts spend a minimum of 11 or 12 hours per week looking at and masturbating to porn. Many individuals spend double or even triple that amount of time.

3 Vital Ways To Spot An Emotionally Immature Woman

Have you ever dated a woman who just seemed a little off? Like she was too much effort? Like she was involved in WAY too much drama? Like she was always changing the way she felt about you? Like she was giving you mixed messages? I can see how dating and relating experiences like this can really confuse you. Not only that, I can see how it could really put you off women in general because of how easy it is to assume that all women are the same.
Some of you have just resigned yourself to the fact that woman are a species which does not WANT to be understood.
Or maybe you have at least thought about this at one point or another. Well, I’m here to shed some light on this (at times) mysterious issue. And it’s pretty easy to overcome once you have identified what the problem is. In most cases, women who are experiencing consistently high and low mood swings, denial and only slight degrees of self responsibility are more than likely to be emotionally immature.
This means a woman who is actually 35 years old can have the emotional maturity level of a 15 year old. I will also note that emotionally maturity is not entirely dependent on age. There are some younger women out there who are incredibly mature for their age and vice versa. There are a number of reasons why maturity does or does not develop but more on that later. First I want to help you guys really identify: what an emotionally immature woman looks like, what she does, and then why she is the way she is.
The Emotionally Immature Woman
What would be one defining factor of an emotionally immature woman? Despite the fact that there are numerous factors if I had to sum it up in a sentence of two it would go something like this: “An emotionally immature woman doesn’t have the skills or experience to cope with reality. An emotionally immature woman doesn’t understand what boundaries are. An emotionally immature woman doesn’t know where things start and where they should end.” She has no coping skills. She has no sense of personal responsibility. For an emotionally immature woman the world simply exists to serve her purposes. Like a child who: screams, cries, and yells to get what they want, so too, do emotionally immature women. Except they may use their femininity and sexuality as the bargaining chip. Sexual looks, flirtatious smiles, sexual favors, and sex are all tools to get what they want, when they want it. And, you know what? It proves to be an effective about 99% of the time. So why would they need to learn anything else?
In need of awareness …
An emotionally immature woman has no sense of awareness of what she is doing. She is on autopilot. She is in constant reaction to her emotions to her needs and wants. She is happy if she gets what she wants. She has tantrum if she doesn’t get what she wants immediately. She has no sense of herself in her own world. She has limited ability or want to reflect or analyze her actions. She has no insight into herself. She does not really know what she is doing. And, in some respects you can’t blame her. She simply doesn’t know anything else.

Why President Jonathan’s Chief Of Staff Mike Oghiadomhe Resigned

After years of ignoring the advice of those who had counselled against the retention of Chief Mike Oghiadomhe as his Chief of Staff, President Goodluck Jonathan, Monday February 2014, finally relieved him of his post.
THISDAY learnt from presidency sources that in order to give him a soft landing, Jonathan asked Oghiadomhe to resign.
His resignation was confirmed by the president’s Special Adviser, Media and Publicity, Dr. Reuben Abati, who said there was “nothing extensive to add other than to confirm that the chief of staff has resigned his appointment” and it had nothing to do with a speculative report published by an online news medium linking him to the allegation on the non-repatriation of oil revenue to the Federation Account by the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC).
However, sources informed THISDAY that by asking Oghiadomhe to resign, Jonathan had finally bowed to pressure to replace the former chief of staff with someone who has the capacity to inject professionalism into the running of the affairs of the Office of the President.
Oghiadomhe, a former deputy governor of Edo State and ally of Chairman of the Board of Trustees (BoT) of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Chief Tony Anenih, had been variously accused of using the Office of the President to dispense and curry favours.

Ezekiel 18:4 NKJV “Behold, all souls are Mine; The soul of the father As well as the soul of the son is Mine; The soul who sins shall die.”
Our souls belong to God! Not to any man; not to Satan; and certainly not to any fraternity! God owns us and He has the right over every one of us. The rich fool said to his soul, “Soul, you have many goods laid up for many years; take your ease; eat, drink, and be merry.” ’But God said to him, ‘Fool! This night your soul will be required of you; then whose will those things be which you have provided?’” Luke 12:19-20. That’s a lesson for everyone of us.
Now, He who owns the souls of all men says that the soul that sins shall die. And many of us don’t seem to take it seriously. Satan has deceived a lot of men with his famous line: “You will not surely die.” Genesis 3:4. But don’t be deceived; The wages of sin is death! If you remain the way you are you will surely die!

Ladies, please note: 5 Things A Player Would Never Say

Although it would be unfair to say all Players are essentially the same in terms of traits and personality, anybody who labels themselves a “ladies’ man” holds firm to a base set of ideals. Hence, there are certain words that aren’t part of the Player’s vocabulary, and certain sayings that will never escape his lips. If you’re a woman and you’re asking yourself, “How can I spot a ‘Player?’” then you simply need to listen for the following statements; if you ever hear any of them, your guy doesn’t qualify. A successful pickup artist is typically endowed with the gift of gab, but thanks to time and experience, he carefully selects what chitchat he makes. To the receptive girl, it always sounds smooth and casual; never forced and never strained, and capable of allowing most any woman to relax in mere minutes. In short, Players are master conversationalists but they’re also experts at controlling their own fate. Always remember: Players would never say anything to compromise those aforementioned ideals.

“I love you”

It’s a predictable No. 1, but all the critical women out there should realize that avoiding this heartfelt statement saves you a great deal of stress and pain. As the Player has no enemies — male or female — and he frowns on manipulation and deception, he isn’t about to toy with a woman’s heart just to satisfy his base desires. At no point will a true ladies’ man say, “I love you.” While it does indeed stem from a dislike of commitment, these three little words only lead to trouble. A Player will spare you that. There may come a day when a pickup artist does say what every woman wants to hear when they’re playing “wedding dress-up” as little girls, but if so that means two things: 1) He means it; and 2) He has voluntarily turned in his Player license. Only the cruel and evil say, “I love you” to get what they want, and then go on their merry way.

10 Things That Drive Men Completely Insane About Being Married

1. “Why does my wife feel the need to tell me every single detail about her friends’ lives? I love my wife, and I’m interested in what she says—unless it’s about her coworker Jill’s decision to get Botox. I haven’t met Jill, and have no opinion on the matter. And I’m sure Jill doesn’t care what I think, either.” – Charles, 39, married five years

Expert Rx: In general, guys want to know the point of a story before they hear it, says Jeremy Nicholson, Ph.D., a relationship psychologist. When you start talking about acquaintances they don’t know, their minds scramble to figure out the “so, what?” factor. If you’re looking for a gossip buddy, you’re better off chatting with your BFFs. But if you’re bringing up Jill’s plastic surgery because you want to gauge what your guy thinks of Botox, then start the conversation with that so he knows where things are headed.
2. “We’re not always a package. Sometimes, I don’t know where my wife is for the afternoon. That’s not weird—we’re individuals! But whenever I tell my buddies that, they look at me like I’m nuts.” — Nick, 40, married 10 years

Expert Rx: Alone time is a healthy and natural, but if you or your guy express that you’re starting to feel like two ships passing in the night, maybe it is time to peek into the ever-mighty schedule and shore up some time for just you two. Even if date night’s a given, there are other opportunities, like asking him to come grocery shopping, or waiting with you while you stand in line at the DMV. It’s actually the kind of stuff you used to do when you were dating, and it can still be surprisingly fun—the trick is asking your man (which sends the signal that he can get hero points) rather than expecting him to (which, as you guessed, does the total opposite).

3. “Date nights. Don’t get me wrong—I love them—but the phrase sounds so forced.” — Brian, 31, married three years

Expert Rx: Nothing, including the name, about date night should feel obligatory. If you and your guy are a bit eh about the term, retire it in favor of Sunday Funday, Martini Monday… you get the point, suggests Laurie Puhn, a couples mediator and author of Fight Less, Love More. And switch it up. Instead of the same dinner and a movie combo, head to a local ice hockey game or spend the evening on a scavenger hunt around town in search of the best slice of pizza.

Watch Out: 4 Harmful Chemicals That Hide In Your Drinking Water

When you buy a filter for your faucet or a pitcher with a filter in it you may think that your drinking water is perfectly safe. This is not true as there are some chemicals that these filters cannot keep out and they are dangerous ones.

If you are worried about your drinking water check the plant from the town that the water is being supplied by and see if they are going through any of the treatments necessary to rid these chemicals from the water in the first place. Here are the four chemicals that could be really dangerous for you and may still be hiding in your drinking water:

1. Lead: This is a dangerous one, especially for children. Your normal lead levels in your blood are under 10 µg/dL. Once you get in the 10 to 25 range you have lead building up in your system. 25 to 40 means that you have regular exposure to lead and anything over 80 will cause permanent damage and could even cause death. The water can pick up the lead by traveling through the pipes.
